Whatever you had for dinner last night . . .

it wasn’t as good as what I had for dinner last night.

Did you know that you could grill potatoes?  This was my first time, and they were great!  Yukon gold, boil them for around 10 minutes (salted water), until you can just barely stick a fork in them.  Dunk them in ice water (to stop the cooking and make them easy to handle) and slice.  Lay out on a cookie sheet and drizzle generously with oil, both sides, sprinkle w/ course salt and pepper (I just seasoned one side, then seasoned the other side on the grill).  Grill over high heat until they get good marks, about 5 minutes a side.  I sprinkled with a little fresh thyme, though that wasn’t necessary (or any other herb would work).

Yum- sort of like a really, really great steak fry, but better (and not in any way in need of ketchup).
